A Whirlwind of a Week

So, there is some crazy wind going on outside.  I mean CRAZY.  If I look close enough, I can see the walls shaking. Scary.  Not to mention, the whistling sound outside - this may be the ONE thing that could keep me awake at night!

That or the thousands of thoughts flooding my brain right now: work, school, exercising, work, school, driving to Louisville tomorrow, my plans for this weekend, work, school, finalizing my purchase of a condo (!!!), laundry, cleaning, work, and well you get the picture!

I told myself that 2009 was going to be the year when I take some time everyday to sit and THINK and reflect.  And so far, a little over one month into the new year, I've failed miserably!  One would logically conclude taking time to think really isn't a big deal, but oh it is!  Sometimes I feel like I am going in turbo speed getting things done - but does it ever stop?  Will there ever be a time when I don't have to be on turbo speed?  The answer is yes, but right now there is no end in sight....so turbo speed it is!

This week has actually been quite exceptional.  I have been more productive this week then I have in a long time.  My attitude has stayed positive (with a couple of dips here and there) prayers are being answered, and alas, a 3-day weekend is around the corner!

I've got big plans this weekend.  It starts with volunteering on Friday night, then RUNNING on Saturday morning (hooray!), studying during the day on Saturday, and enjoying Valentine's Day at dinner & a movie with 10 of my favorite Indy ladies!  I like Valentine's Day.  I am not one of those who is "bitter" about this celebration.  I think it's important to take (at least) one day and show appreciation to someone you care about - regardless of whether it's a significant other or a family member.  I fully plan on sending e-cards to my family & besties.  Random fact that just popped in my head: did you know that next to Christmas, Valentine's Day is the 2nd most popular holiday/celebration to send cards? 

The wind is fading, and so am I.  Tomorrow will be an early morning....up at 4:30 AM and on the road to Louisville by 5:30 AM.  Sweet dreams!
