Anticipation...officially in "race mode"

So, the good news is: I have about 5 different ideas for topics for potentially AWESOME blog entries, the bad news is: this week has once again gotten away from me, and this post isn't about any of those 5 ideas!

I really thought I was going to get to "chill" on the couch last night and blog about my past week, BUT no, Business Law took over...till 1:45 AM!  Whew!  I just wanted to get it out of the way, so I can focus all my mental energy on the TRIATHLON TOMORROW!!!  Tomorrow...yes, yes...less than 24 hours...a triathlon!  holy moly!  Am I in a tad bit over my head?  Maybe.  Maybe not!

I've been anticipating this for quite some time now and finally feel like I'm ready to face it head-on.  It's a great feeling!  Although, I have to say, the training has flat-out humbled me.  Treadmill kicked my butt every time (yet made me feel great when I was done!), the stationary bike made me thankful to have legs, and the canoe practice made me thankful for my arms!  By no stretch of the imagination am I trying to get a quality finishing time...I'm just trying to get a finishing time. Period!  My participation is this activity is for the following 5 reasons:
  1. To try something new...
  2. To get back in shape...
  3. To build and test my mental strength...
  4. To HAVE FUN...
  5. ...and to get a free t-shirt!
Ok, I'm officially in "race mode"....will update after the race sometime!

...And I will leave you with this cool quote I saw today:  "Let me win.  But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt." ~Special Olympics Motto
